Why Item Upgrade Might Be Your Next Big Obsession

Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an acquired item like a weapon, armor, or rings. This replaces the item with another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources won't be compensated for.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment, for example increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players additional health.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to make it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces stays on the spot until the next success is rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they display a full description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop can swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

During an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to selected Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop offers to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by improving its stats or attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's current level and what it will become when it is upgraded.  item upgrading  will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one blue or green Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be upgraded in level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, based on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. This is an excellent option for players who want to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to strain their wallets. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto a new piece of gear.

For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are many ways to acquire them. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can take apart the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that allows you to boost the effectiveness of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will receive a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is attained.

Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon beside their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components do not stack against each other, and can only be added to one item at one time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a certain amount of items to be added, as well as a minimum amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right side, previews show what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of the item will increase by an amount of. The maximum level for an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. In the same way, once a piece of gear reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will have a discount.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired through questing or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades to items enable players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the kind of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

Item upgrade components can be used to make set pieces or weapons to provide additional effects or to increase the item level. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or changed without restriction, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped without restrictions.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further increase the stats of an item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire" on the other hand, increases weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players if they can get an exact roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.

When you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. These include the type of item (either Armor or Weapon) the level of the item and the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

Once you've satisfied the requirements for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to show how close you are to completing it. You can also track the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
